Parent Advisory Council
A CPS PAC (Parent Advisory Council) Organizational Meeting is a mandatory annual meeting, usually held at the beginning of the school year, where parents, teachers, and community members form a Parent Advisory Council.
At this meeting, the PAC's officers, such as the Chairperson and Secretary, are elected to lead the council for the year, and the group establishes its monthly meeting schedule and other administrative details.
The PAC's overall purpose is to advise the principal on how parent engagement funds should be used and collaboratively develop policies to support parent and family engagement in their children's education.
